One of the worst sounding records ever recorded. Weird creative choices that include but are not limited to: mushy phasing on vocals, horrendously over saturated and trebly synths and odd mixing levels where nothing seems balanced. A somewhat incoherent mess induced by too many drugs and alcohol and probably a sound engineer that had no idea what he was doing at the time. -

Is the UK lp issue the only pressing with the lyric sheet? My German copy doesn't have one and don't know if the Aussie or NZ Vertigo pressings have one either -

This reissue is one of the very few Repertiore cd's that is poorly mastered. Lots of noise reduction and early fadeouts. Very thin sounding. The Talking Elephant cd reissue appears to use this same flawed digital master The original UK WWA vinyl remains the best sounding source of this great album -

The cover is more like a nice little hardbound book than the generic term "gatefold" would suggest. Very substantial and commendable gravitas for 25 square inches or 161 square centimeters of cover art.
