I just can't gel with the sequencing of this album, if releasing it as a double CD "Commemorative Pasta, The Wheel, 27, Sick porter 1&2, Ethereal Murmurings" should be on one and the other tracks on the other.
If wanting to fit the album on one CD "Metal Thing #3" and "Sick Porter 1" could have been dropped easily.

Listening to Ethereal Murmerings right now as its very very much my togo to music for anxiety/stress relief.....the best non-pharma-intervention..... anyway that track reminded me I havent had a big-aural-uziq sesh in a while...its on now. This album opened my ears to electronic music. I was already seeking out The Two Colins on kissfm (u know the score), and I started reading random reviews in the music press and buying stuff that peeked my interest. This did that and expanded my music creativity (i was starting out myself as a producer in 90s). Would this have happened without Rephlex, who knows. But this and Bluff Limbo are two outstanding IDM/Eclectronica albums. I recently informed a D&B friend of mine about these two albums and he was 'overthemoon' happy texting me like mad (otherwise a quiet sms hermit), oh look im rambling...its just there is sooooo much excitement to talk about this music (sorry i mean mu-ziq), if u consider yourself an electronica lover....you MUST know this, if not, dont be shamed, just buy BUY and listen LISTEN. I read a few reviews on here and another said as a listener since the 90s he has ONLY just discovered u-ziq. Sad. I reckon its as another said....he hasnt got HALF the exposure he deserves (talking about mikep), afx et al were talked all up in the music press at the time, mike was in the back, churning out gems (yes as prolific if not more then staplemate RDJ), he also has in his label one of the best, it has grown, stayed active and omniprescent in the output and field of electronica and beyond and that IS why I write this...Mike isnt just a prolific creator, hes a visionary of others music and new genres and sounds. I hope PLanetMu outlives me! respect xx (this is a slight duplicate review of the T'n'V album, but to me they could be ONE long album. NB. For music producers the Roland D50 is all over these two albums - why mention that; as a synthnutter that is one UNDERATED synth. Whenever I read that I direct the complainer to these 2 LP's. He made that D50 his own. I applaud that as a synthygeek myself. PEACEOUT XX

Gob Bots is one of my favorite songs of all time. Hector's House and Sick Porter 2 are also really good.

So many wonderful tracks, in such different styles- really takes me back. If C4 is 'remix' of sick porter it's a good job. Stellar

There was an error with 2 tracks being called Sick Porter. I had the luck to talk to Mike Paradinas after a concert once, he explained second track should be called "Sick Porter (Remix)".

                Please change on all versions..

What’s with this lousy rating? Oh that’s right, those of us who are in the know don’t wanna clue you in to the awesome toonage. Only thing better than Tango N’Vectif is this. For the longest time I only had this album on cassette until I picked up a cd copy at the long departed Strange in NYC. I’ve still got it, and man it rocks like a motherf----r. I still chilling in my hammock while the cicadas buzzed in the garden and playing this tape on repeat over and over. The 8-track cassette lo-fi sound only adds to the awesomeness in my opinion. Tell me when the breakbeat kicks in in Twangle Fret you aren’t totally blown away, and I’ll tell you you’ve got no soul baby. Nobody else ever made a D-50 sound like this, and they never will.

Only one way I can think of to describe this album - Mood Swings. Disc 1 starts off pretty chipper with some nice gritty beats and happy melodies on "Hectors House." By the time track 5 rolls around however, I'm pretty ready to fall asleep. Just when I'm nodding off to the dreary melodies of "The Wheel," I'm reawakened by the harsh distorted beats of "Metal Thing #3," a track borderlining straight noise! Paradinas keep the energy with "Twangle Frent" a peppy track with all kinds of bells and whistles!

Disc 2 kicks off with some nicely layered melodies and percussive tracks on "Riostand." Unfortunately this was the highlight of Disc 2 for me. "Organic Tomato Yoghurt" is like some kind of abstract acid track that leads into a couple of dreamy ambient tracks. "Dance 2" pretty much sums up what that song is. The album ends with the heavenly string-plucking of "Ethereal Murmurings" which relaxes me into a deep sleep.

The 'PR-E' on the runout does not refer to this being a promo pressing, it was pressed at PR records (formerly of wimbledon) and this is what this refers to. The 'E' is probably for 'eric' who processed the laquers.
