You think you'r on to a winner with that early Lou Donaldson breakbeat.
Then you get slapped in the face by a few medicore filler tracks, and then...

If your going to sample Shirley Bassey - Light My god dam Fire, no offence, but you mite aswell just purchase dollar bin compilations, and there's nothing wrong with that, but this is supposed to be a product god dam it!
And then they go and slap Shirley Bassey - Light My effing Fire on the "best of" compilation aswell, sorry but get the hell out of here!
There's a few gems sprinkled sparingly here an there, far less than the previous two volumes.
This could of been 1 LP rather than 2.
At this point in the series you become struck by the harsh reality that the catalogue is wearing thin. An empty void engulfs you, as you precariously linger around you stylus for ever growing longer periods of time before being finally blessed with diminishing amounts sample based goodness.
It's a bit like that girl you dated from Peckham ten years ago, back then she was absolute flames, but now she's a bit worse for wear, I mean you still would, but it's just not the product it once was.
Whether or not its worth it is your personal call, but the legendary Blue Break Beats Volume One, or even the still respectful Volume two, this is not.
