If the man has to end a stellar run of LPs on an album called "Infinite Moment" then I accept. Highly recommend any of his releases on the vinyl format.

Thank God for the Field. I love this guy and everything he does. This is just another badass contribution to the catalogue which is all fantastic. Made of Steel, made of Stone is my favorite and damn what cool genius came up with this vibe, makes me jealous of the artistry and taste involved in that song.

It's the same as all his other albums, in that it's The Field as only he can do, but there is something different about this one. For me it feels most similar to his first, From Here We Go Sublime, in that the majority of the textures are quite light and shimmering, which was his original sound (Sun & Ice - this floaty track in particular evokes exactly the image depicted in its name). On his other albums, there's always one or two tracks thrown in with a much more abrasive element to them, be it a bassline or a very-obviously synthetic sound (I know it's all produced synthetically but it comes across as quite organic most of the time) which is, for me at least, a welcome omission here.
For reference, my favourite The Field aesthetic is the one found on tracks like 'The Deal', 'Then It's White' and 'Soft Streams' - much more ambient, much more relaxing, and as such, all the more hypnotic. This whole album is a 60 minute excursion into exactly that soundscape. As a final note, the pressing is absolutely fantastic and conducive to the warmth the tracks evoke.

this isn't a bad album if you like stuff that, for the most part, just simmers along from track to track, was hoping there'd be a track like the title tracks from The Follower and Cupid's Head, but no such piece exists on this album... and i hate to say, some of these cuts sounded like he was just tinkering away aimlessly.

The Field will likely never fail to impress and will continue to do his style of music justice. All six of these songs are so enveloping and beautifully crafted. With practically each song lasting over 10 minutes, you will experience a mesmerizing, long-lasting journey through each song. If you liked The Field’s previous works, you’re sure to dig this one too. Highly recommended!
