Yeah, this record sounds a little rough, but people should this was a protest, not a commercial concert.
-
People that claim this sounds bad are just wrong, it’s live Rage, it will sound a bit chaotic, especially considering the context of this recording

Edited 6 months agoDon't have the previous pressing but it sounds just like the audio that was recorded for the DVD extras I have on the live in Mexico DVD. It's a rough recording that isn't really dubbed or remastered. It sounds like a live RATM show at a makeshift stage thrown up in protest. There's crowd noise, it's loud, there's mic , the cymbals are loud. The audio quality of the pressing is totally fine. No pops, cracks, spins flat. If you are looking for something more polished recording wise, this isn't it.
If you want a pressing of an iconic show in the band's history and a capture of an intense moment in time in the USA with a ton of raw energy and great playing, this is it. Not everything has to be polished. I have live jazz albums that don't sound great but the playing is spectacular. This was 2000 and again, in a makeshift non-touring setup. The fact the audio exists at all is amazing. -

Kick Out The Jams, People of the Sun, and Beautiful World were also played. Don’t know why they weren’t included?

Anyone willing to sell a Mint copy of the sleeve? My media is fine, but the sleeve is messed up.
Please if you are willing. -
Bought this during the RSD in Amsterdam. What a disappointment. Bad live registration. I got rid of it and bought this one: 19075866371, which is a far better live registration of this amazing band

Decent pressing. Honestly a release more only for Rage fans. The six tracks are nice and do have a good live quality but the audio could be recorded or mastered much much better. as previously stated, it sounds like a bootleg. If you're looking for a live Rage experience then Live at the Grand Olympic is a much better choice. This feels more like a nice compliment or smaller puzzle piece to grab if one looks to achieve a substantial Rage collection.
