Great music that sounds good on decent pressing. Slight warp on my copy, but fortunately, it doesn’t affect playback. -

Oh my, the copy I have plays clean. Maybe a bit light on treble but that makes it very smooth and easy to listen to quite loudly if you like to. -

Very noisy pressing. Simply doesn't stop crackling and a lot of surface noise, what is particularly annoying on this record, since the music is very calm every now and then, and needs that "calm-explosion" dynamic. The surface noise fucks it all up.
I've tried to clean, wash, even curse the record a thousand times, to no good. WTF did Optimal do with their qc ? They used to be top notch.
Printed inner also came with a lot of static. But the music is AWESOME, seems very well mastered for vinyl. -

Agree with the bit muddy assessment...but I think that's just how this was meant to be heard. It was mastered pretty loud imo. No complaints. As for the music, it's fire. Some of NIN's best work in a while. Wish they expanded this into a full length LP. There were some great grooves that could have been taken further I feel. The other two EPs in the trilogy didn't really do it for me but this one was great. -

Looks great, sounds great! Loads of detail on here, so it’s pressed a bit quietly on purpose, so turn it up and it will really come to life! -

How come this one came with a "The sound of vinyl" card instead of the normal NIN one that the other vinyl releases have? It's actually a good thing though because it doesn't have an expiration date like all the other vinyl codes do. -

Feb20. On first listen I would say 'Less Than' and the chorus of 'Not Anymore' save this from being complete background noise/music. 'Less Than' does not start like something I would like, but develops into a pretty easy to like song. 'The Lovers' and 'This Isn't the Place' are both slow, key-driven numbers that would be ideal background music to some sort of brooding film. 'Not Anymore' has some more abrasive sounds, but is quite restrained until the upbeat and cool chorus. 'Background World' sounds like soundtrack music too, but quality background music. From about the 4 minute mark, the song is basically over and you get about 8 minutes of loops. This EP is hard to rate too. I am starting where I have most of NIN later stuff, but I feel a couple of these could become favourites. 3/5 -

Did anyone else receive a copy that is NOT in a poly-lined inner sleeve? All other releases that I received directly from the NIN were in lined sleeves, and, frankly, in much better condition. -

This CD is loud! it has been brickwalled. It's good CD but damn it's loud.
