Beggars Opera – Waters Of Change

Great pressing. Clear, punchy, detailed and powerful bass. Great alternative to UK first as can be had for a lot less money.

This pressing sounds very punchy and loud. Heavy quality vinyl, thick cardboard. I must say that everything is well detailed, sharp stereo seperation. Bass is loud, organ is really strong in the mix. Vocals have a lot of presence also. Get a copy!

Hi, I was so happy, seeing this favorite album of my youth time being rereleased.
I waited for more than 40 years to buy this really very gem of happy days again.
But sorry, it's a different affair.

The remastering is not exactly what I have expected. There's a loudness effect and it sounds very pimped on deeper frequencies, so you get a kind of muddy sound.

On the other hand some instruments are focussed to a better listening experience. So: dear Repertoire Records,
the better articulation of some instruments is really welcome, but you better do not pimped the bass this way and cared more a bit to the transparency overall.

In the consequence, I just look to order one of the old repressings because of their smaller but better balanced album sound.

Could anyone say what it's the sound quality of this album? Thanks!
