Ork Records was founded by Terry Ork as an avenue to release Television's first single Little Johnny Jewel and Richard Hell's Blank Generation. Charles Ball ed Ork shortly there after and was an integral part of the label until he left to form Lust-Unlust records.
It is widely reported that he co-founded Ork but that is a misconception.

Terry was the visionary to start the first DIY "punk label" and recorded some of the most iconic artists to come out of the NY scene!
