Electrosound Group Midwest, Inc.

ElectroSound Group Midwest was a record and cassette manufacturing plant headquartered in Shelbyville, Indiana, which arose from the ashes of bankrupt Viewlex, Inc. in 1978.
Another former Viewlex subsidiary, Electrosound Los Angeles in 1985.

Record pressings can be identified by the hand-etched "Emw", "ℰMW" or "ƐMW" in the deadwax area. Please always add Emw or EMW in the BAOI runout fields for optimal searching.
Pressings for A&M Records bear a 'B' code on the label next to the A&M logo or underneath the ℗ A&M Records, Inc.
Pressings for PolyGram and its sublabels have "016" or "16" printed on labels.
Pressings for K-Tel have "74" printed on labels.
From 1977-1991, they had the muffin top/chamfered pressing rings with the smaller inner ring of 35mm and the outer ring of 73mm.
