I understand some people find this OG 1st Liberty pressing to be too “hot” but it does not sound “hot” to me, it sounds warm and engaging and full of details. (Maybe I got lucky?) In fact, it sounds to my ears much better than many Liberty-era pressings (eg Mobley Reach Out). In any case, I am very happy with the sound and I have no desire to get a remastered release. -
McCoy Tyner's Tender Moments TP was pressed rather "hot/shouty", the piano mid-tone is especially overbearing. Tested on a few systems. The results were the same. Listening fatigue quickly set in.
