How do you guys feel about your singles purchases or just singles produced in general now? I find myself purchasing fewer albums now that I can individually buy a track digitally off an EP or album on bandcamp instead. Music releases where you have to digitally purchase the whole album to get one particular track tend to be higher quality overall, imo.
I'm wary of cherry picking digital purchases off albums although I still do so. Bandcamp or Delsin/Hardwax/Boomkat make that process very easy and U can achieve a very varied purchase that way but imo get no feel for what the producer was trying to do via the LP format.
It has become too expensive in my opinion!I don´t buy as many records as I used to.It seems like a rip off to me nowadays.Maybe it is better to buy cheaper used records but you have to find them in good condition.
25 Euro for an EP is clearly too much or 40 Euro for an album.Who can afford this?We fought for vinyl to survive and now they charge incredible prices.I don´t buy digital at all.It is useless and has no soul.
How can a young person who is into collecting vinyl ever grow a collection like we did in the 90s/2000s?
