When browsing a seller's inventory, it would be great if we could filter out all the items already in our collection, or at least put a symbol like "owned" or something like that. Is it possible to implement this?
crystalquint Sorry but it's not possible. Well it's technically possible but it would be incredibly slow and not worth the time to use it.
Basically the extension would have to look at each item on the page one at a time and then look in your inventory for that item. Each look up would take a minimum of 1 second but could be longer. So 60 items on the page would take at least 1 minute to iterate over. This also doesn't for different versions of an album. If you had one version of Dark Side Of The Moon and the seller had a different version for sale, it would be difficult and extremely slow to get something like that sorted out.
It's interesting that this is just a standard feature in the Discogs app when browsing a seller inventory (the little collection icon over the cover) but not available at all in the web version. Strange.
