I have delivery addresses in several countries and depending on the origin of the item offered in the marketplace I like to have it shipped to the closest country. But contrary to PayPal, Amazon, etc. where you can have an 'address book', Discogs apparently only offers to store one address, right? Is there a way to store multiple addresses and then quickly switch between them as you can with other sites?
I think this is a decent idea. But it is worth keeping in mind that some sellers will only ship to the Paypal address that has been used to make the payment. While I tend to use the Discogs address to ship to other sellers may not.
I agree !! .. as a buyer, it would be great if there was an address book, where you have a primary address & secondary, with options to switch addresses at checkout. (rather than entering the second address from scratch, then manually re-entering the 1st address again)
I have addresses in Europe and USA.
I always try to avoid international shipping.
Please add multiple address feature.

So come on developers, this would be REALLY useful. I like to have some packages delivered to my place of work, and some to my home. It is a pain having to type in a different address, it would be great to select one from a list. Paypal allows you to do this, so why not Discogs?

Yes, Paypal has multiple addresses as option. Here in one can have different parcel addresses instead of the home address. Especially now in the pandemy phase this is important.

Is there a reason this feature hasn't been introduced?! It is quite frustrating. It appears delivery address can be changed when placing the order but when I hit save it doesn't save the address I've put in. It's also difficult to find my default address in the settings, where I've changed it in the past each time necessary, but there have been times where that doesn't work either. Surely it's in Discogs's interest. One person here mentions sellers say they will ship to the Paypal address, but when calculating shipping in the order placing process here, there isn't a clear solution.

paypal seller protection only applies if you ship to a buyer's ed paypal address.

Chiming in here, practically begging for this. I have an address in the UK but travel to the US a lot and it's so obnoxious to have to manually change my address every time I want to shop from a different country. At this point I'm debating creating an entirely separate just for the other country....

Discogs has nothing to do with it. PayPal handles the transaction, so PayPal address matters.
You can add multiple addresses to PayPal.
Well, I do. I live in two countries, have records in both, have two Paypals to transactions in both countries - the only (slight) nuisance is that I need to change my settings and address manually each time I change locations.
Yes, it would be possible to set up two separate seller s - however then the new one would not have any or history.
Two addresses would be amazing. I ship records to different countries often and it's really annoying to have to manually change my address, especially in the case where a seller doesn't ship to a certain country and then I have to do it in my settings before I can even add it to my cart.
Another vote for this feature. Being able to add a second address would be immensely helpful; living in Aus means I have to get many CDs forwarded from EU/US.
Currently, I have three different addresses in different countries. An address book would be extremely useful. Having to change the shipping address in my profile is a drag.
They're missing out a lot of sales and therefore commission. It's so normal these days to have more than one address, not just work/home but also family/friends abroad etc and people also move around a lot, too. I'm British and live in , so I also have access to a UK address (and it's also setup in my paypal) but when I see something interesting and the UK seller won't ship to , do you think I can be bothered to change address manually and buy it.... nope! I can't even see what the postage will cost without changing address. It's plainly ridiculous and seems rather old fashioned that such a large website like discogs don't have provision for s to setup multiple addresses. Discogs is great, but it is clunky in so many respects, which is a real shame.
