I ed Discogs on the 10th via email but have yet to hear back. My friend says it is too late now to buy the Christmas present vinyls he'd planned so this is a real 'shot in the foot' moment for them, plus of course those sellers have lost out. -

Bumping this thread, as I was faced with the same issue. Tried different browsers, different times of day, different devices, different Internet connections, even asked my brother to try it via his - same problem with timed out connection when trying to purchase. I should not have left Christmas shopping for this "late".... -

Seven days for first respond. After first respond I was able to create additional order. After 9 days problem was handed over to technical team and so far I'm buying without problems (created additional four orders without problem). -

HERE'S THE TIP, everybody:
If there is "make offer" option then you can buy record using it. Just make that offer (you can lower the price just for 1 cent), it will go thru and if seller agrees then the stuff will automatically be purchashed overcoming that stupid error.
And if there is no "make offer" option then just get in touch with the seller explaining him the whole situation and ask to add that option (or just relist with that option available).
Hope that will help to somebody. -

Nothing works. I've been communicating with discogs during more than 1 month. They reply that "there are some limits on their security side". But no info what I do wrong.
Sometimes it suddenly works and then falls again into an error.
Still no solution. -

I haven't been able to purchase anything these past few days! It was intermittent before, but in the last two days, I've tried refreshing hundreds of times, and it still doesn't work. ;( -

Finally,
I had several long topics with the technical team, finally it became working (I don't know what they did, they mention internal "security limits"). But I found one trick: I had two warehouses ( and the UK). After I switch a delivery address the problem comes back and fixes after ~1 week. Therefore I use only one delivery address now.
Very strange error, if it occurs - nothing helps in fact -

When this error occurred, were you guys having items shipped to your own private addresses or to a freight forwarder's address? I’m starting to think that the problem is a result of Discogs starting to blacklist freight forwarding addresses. -

This really sucks if that is the case. I ed but was only told to payment information, use different device or have stable internet. I tried again and it’s still not fixed. Apparently my recent order was flagged. I don’t know if it’s the order that didn’t push through because of the error code or my last purchase which I didn’t have issues with. And was all paid, shipped, etc. -

I suspect it was the address. Try switching to a new address, preferably a personal/private one. I did. It went through smoothly. That’s why my guess is that Discogs is starting to ban freight forwarders.
And about the reply you got, I got the same reply. That looks like to me a bot giving a pre-set reply, not even a human being customer service guy doing it. -
Show this post
Yeah seems like a bot. Such a shame to use a personal one since I use a forwarder for a reason. I live so faraway, while most of my purchase is in the UK, and mail is very very unreliable where I am. I will end up wasting money with lost mail. Discogs should really rethink this. -

I'm wondering if this is why sales are so few and far between unlike before. All I can say is message sellers if discogs doesn't want to fix the bug. -

This was the response I got, is this what everyone is seeing?
"Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out. We understand that it is frustrating when you encounter issues with a purchase, and we apologize for the disruption.
Discogs is committed to protecting our customers from fraud, and sometimes orders are flagged due to our security measures that help ensure a safe shopping experience for everyone.
Unfortunately, your recent order was one of those flagged. To help us process your purchase successfully, please try the following:
your payment information: Double-check that your email and other details are accurate and up-to-date.
Use a different browser or device: Sometimes, technical issues with your browser or device can interfere with the order process.
Ensure a stable internet connection: An insecure or interrupted internet connection could have also triggered a security check.
While we can't disclose the specifics of these security checks, we want to assure you that your personal information remains confidential and secure.
If you continue to experience difficulties with your order after trying the above suggestions, please reply to this email so we can investigate further.
Thank you again for reaching out, and we look forward to getting your order processed as soon as possible.
Best," -

This was from LOTTE / in ....a bot i'm assuming
LOTTE appears to think i'm having problem paying for an existing order /
my problem as with others on this thread is placing an order / I cannot get to square one
Thank you for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble checking out on this order.
First, if you have not done so already, please try the following troubleshooting steps on your end:
Ensure your shipping address and billing address in your Buyer Settings is correct and fully filled out.
Try using a different browser or clearing your cache and cookies.
Confirm that your PayPal has sufficient funds and is in good standing.
If the issue persists, the problem may be related to the seller’s PayPal . In that case, I recommend asking the seller to review the troubleshooting steps outlined in our guide Why Am I Unable to Pay for My Order?
If they need further assistance, they can us directly via the form here.
Please avoid sending payment outside of Discogs, as this violates our Buyer Policy and may void PayPal’s payment protections.
Let me know how it goes!
Best regards,

Hi guys, I had this problem too and I seem to have fixed it by going into my profile, and making sure my shipping address was correct, and filling in (in my case it wasn't filled in yet) the billing address information as well. Hit save on both of those sections and then try again, for me it worked. Good luck! -

Same here (). Different browsers, same error:
"There was a problem creating your order. Error code: 43d732b7-b708-4697-9ad7-f41b8de543bc".
One order with 9 items, another one with only one item -- both error-ing. :-/
the Error code changes with each retry, for example "6495d601-2de1-4734-b906-bd78fbeeb242".
I have edited the delivery address, added the billing address, reloaded x times, nothing seems to change the error.
when checked in the browser's dev tools, the POST request that should create the order returns an HTTP 422 status - "unprocessable content" (https://developer.mozilla.org/de/docs/Web/HTTP/Reference/Status/422) very strange. -

According to the Service, everything has been fixed, but this is not the case.

I see these stupid messages about some kind of error again and again!
"There was a problem creating your order. Error code: 7ebc6a1c-ed25-408f-a89e-a74c662dc02c"...
I think the reason is due to the incorrect operation of the site in of inventory management for those sellers who the listing from a file. I noticed that it is impossible to place an Order with such sellers.
The Service is almost non-responsive. I received answers from them to previous requests a week later. And the answers were completely inadequate - a suggestion to check some Internet connections. -

About 2 months ago, everything ended. It's not possible to place new orders.

I had this problem start a couple days ago. I have read somewhere in these posts about internal "security limits" maybe being the cause. So what I did was first change my email AND then also change my . Somehow this fixed things for me. I was immediately able to make and pay for an order that was unsuccessful the last 2 days.
I can't say what exactly did the trick though. It all started a couple days ago when I changed my email from my provider email to my gmail address. (I was having other problems with my original first email address so I was forced to try another email address). And that's when the problems started. I kept getting the error and wasn't able to place any order.
What I did in the end was create a new unique email at my hosting service AND after updating my to the new email I then also updated my . And bingo, everything was fine again. I just placed my order and paid for it about 15 minutes ago. Maybe first try changing your and hopefully that will solve the problem. (I first also tried all the different mentioned methods: on different devices, clear cookies, use other browsers etc but none of that helped.) -

Did you create the new using the previous email from your old ? Can you use an email address that you haven't used on Discogs before? If you used the same email address as before maybe discogs is blocking that particular email address. -

Coming back to this thread, as it grew much more than I expected when this problem was first reported. Who is still having the same issue? I guess it is evident that until recently, there were little to no problems when changing the shipping address in the profile, and now somehow this or non-matching addresses are leading to "securely flags" being raised, which I assume have to be reviewed manually.
What is baffling to me is that, even after sellers have wrote in this thread that the amount of purchases suddenly diminished, no official explanation is given by the Discogs team. We have no idea on what is and is not allowed, what raises the flag, and alternatives. Was there rampant fraud before regarding forwarding services and changing of addresses? I cannot even imagine how this would impact Discogs service.
Still, an explanation is the least that the team could provide. I am not even asking for a solution, just a clear understandable statement. This is, by reply count, the Nr. 3 Bug reported in the forum right now. -

"Was there rampant fraud before regarding forwarding services and changing of addresses?"
Very good question. What is an actual fraud scenario I'm wondering? (Please excuse the uninformed comment as I'm very security paranoid in general and have not followed what "has or could" happen here at discogs. I only ed in to try to maybe help someone solve the problem pertaining to the topic).
But ok, apart from that, since fraud is acknowledged, we have Two-Factor Authentication. I would think that's mandatory for sellers to protect their s. Now someone doing fraudulent selling is another matter but then that has nothing to do with the of the buyer. -
