I mean come on. Perfection. So much tenderness in the way she carries herself through this work. It feels like a reflection to the self.

A fantastic pressing with an expansive soundstage and instrument separation. Roberta's voice is clear as a bell on this Japanese pressing, like she's in the room. Disc is housed in a heavyweight sleeve.

Best VMP release I own based on sound quality. And the album is of course spectacular.

Just picked this version up today. Light surface noice across the whole A side, but I kind of like it. Adds to the emotion that is Roberta's voice.
Her vocals are clean and clear, and the bass lines have a nice punch to them, but not overboard.

This is shown as a 1971 release but curiously the label says P 1972

My VMP pressing is great! The packaging is solid and heavy. The vinyl is straight and glossy.

The sound--to me on my system--is big, beautiful, and has tons of dynamic range.

Let me be the first one then not to rave about the sound quality... because I don't think its that spectacular...
I have this album for such a long time, it's almost part of me, and I have always loved the holographic sound stage from the few versions I have here already (all Japanese pressings, although I can imagine that would not everyone's taste, but that's another discussion)

In compare the music on this album is dark, the holographic sound stage is gone for most of it (again: in compare to my Japanese pressings) and it sounds like someone made a attempt to lower the noise from the audible tape hiss on all those other versions.
A bit like listing to a cassette that was recorded without Dolby, but played back with Dolby on (although that might be expressed a bit too strong)

On all versions I have listened till now, a correction on a apparently too strong record level is audible in the first minute of Go Up Moses, on this release however that seems to be fixed in some way...
Sound not bad (modern, more bass heavier then the original version which is something from 'these days') vinyl quality very okay (and that is positive!) nice album with those Listening Notes Booklet in it...
But soundwise I prefer my 'holographic' Japanese productions...

Repress added to the VMP shop earlier today. Don’t sleep again, this is spectacular.

My daughter got me 3 months of VMP Essentials for Christmas, but I didn’t like the Essentials option for the 2nd month and took a flyer on this based on reviews and the amazing album cover, thinking, how could a record w/ that album cover be bad? I’d never seen the album or heard it before, and I’m very happy I made the switch to this record.

I won’t repeat the comments below about sound quality — i agree w/ them. Excellent all around.

Not many vocals-on-vinyl sound better than they do on this edition. Those long, high, sustained notes on Jimmy Webb’s See You Then sound utterly fantastic. Not a hint of distortion, just ringing like a beautiful bell. Raptures.
