SHIPPING & HANDLING - current guidelines (subject to change):
US Media Mail: all discs = $6.00; each add'l = $1.00 (including multi-disc sets)
US Priority Mail: all discs = $14.00; each add'l $1.00 (including multi-disc sets)

Notes--
1. All ORDERS over $100 are shipped via insured, Priority Mail. This is for our mutual protection. Below that amount the buyer is responsible for insurance. We don't ship damaged goods, and we certainly don't lose them after delivering them to the post office. PLEASE understand: we are not liable for postal mishandling/loss. If this concerns you, please request insurance. If your insured parcel does arrive damaged, please document with photos and/or have your postal delivery worker acknowledge in writing---this would be required for any claim filed.
2. For Media Mail (which most of our buyers prefer), the USPS doesn't guarantee a delivery time. Tracking numbers will be provided so that our buyers may track their parcels on www.USPS.com. If you’re in a hurry, please ask for Priority Mail (USPS claims usual 2-3 days delivery time), then inform us the latest day we can mail it for you to feel comfortable (See #3 below---Shipping Times---which will otherwise apply).
3. SHIPPING TIMES (We always strive to beat these times). These times are Business Days (ie, doesn’t include WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS):
a. When an item is ordered it's not simply shipped off; it is removed from our archives and double-checked for Discogs listing & grading accuracy (see Grading Policies below). Please allow up to 5-7 business days from "payment received" for this service (see b,c,and d below, which may also apply).
b. Packaging and delivery to the USPS may take an additional 2 business days.
c. Still Sealed items require retrieval from special storage facility, and careful inspection ---please allow up to an additional 3 business days for this type of purchase.
d. Multi-orders (orders containing more than just 1 or 2 items) for obvious reasons are labor-intensive to review properly - please allow up to an additional 7 business days.
4. IMPORTANT: our online postal system sends you an automatic email with tracking information at the time your postal slip is printed. We also add tracking information to your Discogs order page as time allows. Please check your SPAM for tracking information if you believe your shipment is running late.
5. Brothers Records sells on different portals. As items sell on other sites, we make every attempt to expeditiously cancel the listing here on Discogs. Occasionally, an item is ordered on Discogs before we have time to do so. When this happens--or when an item fails our rigorous vinyl or jacket/sleeve quality control---we attempt to find a comparable replacement, offer a partial refund, or may offer a credit of greater value than the item(s) ordered as an acknowledgement of the buyer’s inconvenience. Buyer acceptance of such replacement, credit, partial refund, or in choosing a complete refund for the order (issued within the limits discussed in the Shipping Times above) will indicate buyer satisfaction with this solution. Please DO NOT ACCEPT any offers we make unless such offer is fully satisfactory. Likewise, once received, if you disagree with the grade of any of our items Brothers Records offers a full refund upon return. Please do not place order unless you agree this policy provides a satisfactory solution in the event of such a disagreement.

GRADING POLICIES – IMPORTANT!

Brothers use several AT-PL120 turntables with a 3.0 gram* tracking force with AT-VM 95e cartridges to play grade their vinyl prior to shipping to their buyers. While the 3.0 tracking is a lower setting it keeps it closer to the ideal tracking force which usually tends to be around 2.2 gram and allows reasonable mid and low ranges and no record damage.

IMPORTANT: Buyers must agree that SEALED items are to be ACCEPTED AS RECEIVED. The Brothers attempt to place such items in their correct categories shown on Discogs, but since LABEL or RUNOFF particulars cannot be known we make no guarantees. PLEASE ask any questions prior to purchase. These sales are final.

We use Goldmine grading with a few minor modifications (usually mentioned in our item description). Please be aware that all items are initially sight graded when first listed on Discogs. As items are ordered and paid for, the Brothers clean and preview them prior to shipment. We will not send out items that are incorrectly graded as a service to our buyers. We take this extra time to save you the disappointment of a return. Also, many vinyl releases originally included lyric sleeves, company sleeves, posters, stickers, or various inserts --- many of which may have vanished over time. If these are NOT MENTIONED in our description, please do not assume they are included. Although usually in keeping with the general grade of the jacket, the condition of these inserts varies from perfect to torn, etc. If this is important, PLEASE ASK.

We consider still sealed items “mint”. We also consider open items "Mint" if we cannot see any evidence of playing. A sealed LP jacket, for example, may have small corner bumps or shrink tears. We usually call out more obvious issues such as a significant jacket crease or a factory “cutout”. If shrink tears or small corner bumps on a sealed item are important to you, PLEASE ASK BEFORE ORDERING.

Also, M- discs are exactly that: they are NOT MINT. They may have minor flaws (such as scuffs from the sleeve) and will look very nice.

RETURN SHIPPING POLICY (This is the same policy accepted by Discogs and Paypal).

As can be seen from our we have been successful in our grading accuracy; however, recognizing personal tastes vary, we issue a full refund upon return. WE DO NOT PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING. We've chosen not to sell abroad specifically because we do not want to place ourselves and our buyers at odds regarding return shipping costs. So, we caution those using various Forward-Shipping Services to circumvent our policy. This is important to understand!When an item is returned, we attempt to issue a prompt refund when received. If you have not received your refund within several days, please us to make sure we’ve received the returned item.
