Japanese Hip Hop really has some punch, at least from what I´ve heard so far and also the stuff that made it here as team ups with american MC´s. Of course I don´t unterstand a word of their lyrics, but they flow nicely, even if the language as such may sound a bit rough and weird in your ears. Give it a try, I mean they use some english words in between too, like most do worldwide. Especially do so when you like experiments and people like Scaramanga, Wise Intelligent, Smooth B or Craig G. Most of the music sounds not like your typical US Hip Hop of the day (or any day), because most of the instrumentals were produced by japanese fellows nd DJ´s and they really wen for their own flavour and not necessarily for any copy paste modes. Respect! Some of it sounds almost bap, funny and a bit naive, but definitely funky all around.
