MOV knocks it out of the park, as per usual. I can't imagine Lost Highway sounding any better than it does here. My old 90s CD sounds rather "sterile/clinical" compared to this pressing, so this feels like an immediate upgrade. Perfectly clean copy, too. Zero distortion, nor any kind of noise.
More broadly speaking, I'd love if MOV started selling digital versions of their flat masters, or even include them as a code. -
Was late to the party with this one but so glad that I finally picked it up. Sounds incredible and with 23 tracks over two LPs it's an absolute bargain for the price!

Close to perfection. In my opinion the NIN track is not their best; the Lou Reed track feels a bit out of place and perhaps there is one too many Rammstein/Marilyn Manson tracks. Aside from that, yes its wonderful. I have had it on CD since it was originally released and was hesitant about buying this vinyl edition, mostly because of the price. I need't have worried. To my ears this sounds stunning - quiet (mostly) and clear with lovely sounding bass. I also realise that it is a great testament to Trent Reznor's production skills. In short its well worth the price and better than the CD version. Mine has a very minor warp/wobble on the second disc, but I'm beginning to accept that with new vinyl, particularly gatefolds it seems. However this is a tiny grumble and it's not enough to effect the audio quality. Highly recommended.

I wish all my vinyls sound like this one! It's that good!
The opening of D2 (Hierate Mich) is the perfect showcase: the intro spoken word German is clear with no noise, then the sudden 2 drum bangs sound extremely punchy with no cutout! -
Edited 7 years agoUpset by 'song to the siren' being absent from this soundtrack, especially since it played during one of the most critical moments of the film. Just me being extremely fussy, but I wish the images were formatted differently, the thumbnail images seem too small. Maybe bleed prints on the gatefold and back cover would have looked more pleasing. Otherwise, it is perfect.

From all the hype of twin peaks season 3 and being a Lynch fan, this was a no brainier for me. Along with everyone else who owns this, I agree that the sound on this pressing is one of the best sounding records that I own. Amazing soundtrack with amazing quality. Props to the music on vinyl guys once again.

My God what a great sound! I've always loved this soundtrack - and the movie - this release sounds just amazing, all the money was worth it.
Does anyone know if this black vinyl version is a limited edition too ? -
It can't be said enough: this release is DIVINE. Easily one of the best records I've ever owned. When your needle hits this one, it is DEAD SILENT and the music kicks major butt. If you like this soundtrack, settle for nothing less.

Edited 8 years agoThis is an amazing sounding reissue of a work of art. Blown away by the clarity and low levels. Atmospheric, haunting and flawless sound.
