Caravan are an English band from Canterbury. The band's music is included in the category of progressive rock. The bands from this area, such as Soft Machine playing a mix of rock and jazz.
Caravan was formed in 1966 after the break-up of The Wilde Flowers. The original line-up consisted of Richard Sinclair, Pye Hastings, Dave Sinclair and Richard Coughlan. In this occupation they would hold out the first three years, from 1968 to 1971.
