I just widen the record hole with a pencil, (Carefully) and have done it several times without any issues ...
-
side one disc one has terrible sibilance throughout, not worth listening to, i have to buy a different pressing.
"on doomSCHday" and i SCHell rhymSCH like dimeSCH" -
Edited 2 years agoquality of the sleeve was atrocious, not even 15 minutes and the cover was already tearing from the top. i believe i got a good pressing, but man the cover broke almost instantly the moment i took it out of the seal
update: nope, the second discs hole was too small and almost broke my record player and the record trying to get it off 🙃 -
Edited 2 years agoThe pressing itself is great, as in the discs are quiet, but there is a ton of sibilance on the louder tracks and the soundstage is incredibly narrow throughout. Whether this is the result of mixing/mastering for this issue or due to the nature of fidelity of the original recordings I'm not sure, though I can say that the digital/CD versions I own are superior in those regards. Unfortunate. Update: I went back to the digital versions and they are clean and spacious. Anyone know if there is a recent vinyl issue that's actually good?

Mine sounds pretty good, but like the other reviewer said the records were staticky the first spin. Cheap paper inners, mine now in mofi. I like this cover much better than the original, rad illustration by the man himself. RIP DOOM

the sound on this is pretty good, but mine came with an INSANE amount of static on the records, so beware of that. took me an hour per side to dust off and de-static it with an audioquest brush. maybe due to the cheap paper sleeves the records come in.
