Hear me out: I love this album. Whatever homeboy was going through at the time, I guess I relate.

How is it possible that my new 2M black cartridge can dig up so much gunk from the grooves of this factory sealed record? -
Least loved of my Cave albums, in fact having listened to it today for the first time in ages decided to flog it.
More depressing than a Leonard Cohen album. -
Bought used at the record shop. Crackle, snap, pop noise throughout and a muted, muddy sound.
Then I cleaned it several times over. Ultrasonic, scrubbing with multi-step cleaner, vacuum machine, more ultrasonic.
And now it sounds great! Maybe that’s all this record needs for other folks: a deep long clean. -
Edited one year agoI love the album, but this is the dirtiest record I've pulled out of a sealed copy. -
A good pressing. Side A sounds beautiful, no problem with it. Side B has a bit of static noise which is a bummer but not too distracting. Let's say it adds texture... -

My copy is correctly labelled and the content is correct. But, the pressing is off centre so there is quite a lot of pitch deviation which is a problem with this type of material.
