Pressing is fine. Sounded good at first but after a while, listening fatigue started to set in due to piercing treble. Made me miss the tone controls on the 80s amps.

Never know what you're going to get from the same batch of pressings. I'm with those who have no issues whatsoever. No pops, crackles, of surface noise. Flat and smooth as glass. and the sound is top notch with no sibilance or inner groove distortion.

I'll have to the majority here and say my copy sounds fantastic. I could not have hoped for better. And the price was super fair. I'm very happy with this and it's in heavy rotation.

No noise, no distortion. Great sounding pressing of a pantheon level album.

sounds is good (4 stars), wrap is present (2-3 stars), no pops/cracks (no dust even the inner sleeve is "paper"). Nice sound stage and separation

My copy of this 2016 reissue sounds absolutely sublime. Perfect press, no pops/crackles and the sound stage is perfect, very warm sounding.

After read the comments sometimes I think that I heard a different version of the same pressing.
My copy sounds without noises, clics, pops or other issues.
All pressings from 2016/2017 that I have sounds very nice.
Sure, that's only my opinion, based in the results with my stereo setup.
Ps.: All of my records are washed.

Sorry, but I have to agree with those who say this is a very bad reissue. My copy has very strange and loud distortion all over the first track, I couldn't even make it past that. MPO usually does great pressings so I'm a bit perplexed - my copy of "The Serpent's Egg" also had problems (scratches from the inner sleeve). I will be sending both of these back for a refund, not going to bother with any replacement copies.

My copy definitely has a good amount of noise on side A as others have complained about. It's nothing too bad, but it's definitely noticeable on track 2 which is a bummer.

Do not listen to the vocal minority complaining about the low quality of the 2016/2017 reissues of the Dead Can Dance albums. I have a few of them and they sound and look excellent. Faithful to original pressings (I have a couple to compare) very clean sound on the LP's themselves. If you want to own the DcD albums on vinyl, do not think twice about buying these reissues. They are very good.
