I have number 00001. No lie. I don’t know how much it’s worth.

I don't understand why they continue to write this lie, if Wikipedia writes it wrong and you don't understand... it's exactly the opposite. The first printing is 23,000 numbered copies. It was subsequently reprinted in 5000 copies without numbering!!!

I'm really glad I bought two copies of this back in the day lol. One I kept sealed and the other is number 0050 😂, had no idea it would be worth this much down the road.

After looking for a copy in great condition of the first pressing (I found one this week!), I noticed on the photos sent to me by sellers that there was a defect in the covers each time. A horizontal line on the front and back of the cover. And this only on numbers lower than 5000.

Pictures here of 2 copies first pressing:

So according to release pages, side C of unnumbered version is a different matrix variant from numbered copies? Can someone who have both confirm this? So I guess this side sounds different on both?

Yes, this is the original pressing with the alternate running order, possibly the most sought-after 90s rock record to have, and that's wonderful. Fortunately, I own this record, but I also have the 2012 remastered vinyl boxset.

In of sound quality, it's immediately clear that the remaster is your best choice for far less money. It contains much more detail, has more impact (those drums and guitars sound real!), the better balance, has the clarity and simply rocks! The original 3LP is a muddy sounding record. The 4LP has more vinyl to work with, and that’s just far more dynamic range, deeper low end frequencies and better high end frequencies.

There is just no argument audiowise to prefer the original over the 4LP remaster.

Anyone have a copy that’s still in the original shrink wrap that they would sell?

Finally dropped some big bucks on a NM original ‘96, numbered copy. The sound is totally mind-blowing, with a depth and clarity to each individual instrument that’s true to the analog sound.
I can’t speak for any of the other repress/remasters but this one has me naturally high, eyes closed, immersed in the beauty of this album after spending a couple decades listening to it on MP3/CD/FLAC.
