The advent of smooth jazz during the early 80s gave resurgence and momentum to jazz. And it is artists like Tania Maria who proficiently added to the vocabulary of the idiom. Her Concorde recordings are some of the most vibrant, inspired and ingenious jazz recordings of that era. I wish I had caught on sooner. Come With Me like so many other of her albums is a work of splendor.
