No security, recorded with two out of phase guitars, that are both out of tune with the bass...still they pulverise Doom and make them look redundant

The Doom side is obviously a classic, but No security is no slouch either. Manic Swedish hardcore vs D-Beat karaoke hits make this on of the best split albums of the era.

Does anyone else's No Security side sound wavy like an old cassette tape especially on the first opening tracks?? I am used to listening to this off the discographyCD version and it sounds less than spectacular on my vinyl copy.

A lot of people probably bought this for Doom, who are better known, but for me the Winner Of The Wax War is No Security, who rip through their side with ferocity not unlike Totalitar. Absolutely pounding.

I could never really get that into Doom, though there are tens of thousands out there love them to pieces and claim this platter to be among their finest. I'm sure you know the Doom style and sound if you are reading this. Heavy, fast, gruff -- qualities I generally ire, but for some odd reason, Doom doesn't do much for me. I find Doom goes down much easier in smaller doses, like the "Police Bastard" 7" or the split 7" with Extinction Of Mankind.
