Has anyone got the purple vinyl reissue yet? Received mine yesterday...very nice pressing, maybe a bit quieter than the OG vinyl? Sounds good, though.

I've just been stung with CD-R. Identical to this entry except no Matrix info on CD inner ring so I think this entry is a composite of official and CD-R release as the original CD is just plain silver with black writing on it? -

Great album but what a truly crummy CD release with a CD-R and no inside pages in the flimsy booklet. The initial vinyl copy I had also had two LP1s and no LP2. Poor stuff from Cherry Red on this. -

I agree. It's one of the best albums of theirs I've ever heard. Near perfect album, and speaks to their past, present and future. (part of "Autochips" full title has "2016" in it, a year that hadn't happened yet)

So not only is it the meanest, leanest Fall album in a while, and not only does Mark sound almost coherent, but the fact that throughout so many decades and personnel changes he manages to maintain a cohesive sound is proof absolute that, as he says, "it's not repitition - it's discipline".
If you're looking for a doorway into Fall... This would be a great one. Awesome album.
