I don’t know who said this, maybe it was on Discogs or on a different review website, but they said “If it’s good enough for Jimmy Page, it’s good enough for me” and boy do I agree.
I’ve never had any problems with Optimal, never had to return one like I had to do with GZ or even RTI. You can see the QC difference with these pressings from Optimal. Dead quiet vinyl, great soundstage.
I have the debut, III, IV, and this one. All of them spectacular and clean.
Don’t listen to the pretentious audiophiles.
If you don’t want to spend 12k on the Classic Records, get all of LZ’s discography available at your local record store for the fraction of the price for these reissues. You genuinely will NOT be disappointed.
Rock on LZ 🤘❤️ -

Overall very very pleased with this issue. Dead flat, zero surface noise. Gave up on the price of a NM original. This sounds very pleasing to my ears on both of my set ups. Not sure about other reviews with distortion, my copy has zero! Get it you will be pleased.

Edited one year agoAfter many years of listening to this press (and more than 50 or 60 listenings to the entire album apart from In My Time Of Dying that i listened even more times) i can confirm:
-A little bit of (not annoying) distortion in general, but i think that it comes from the original tapes since i have listened this on Direct Analog Lossless FLACS and vintage pressings that are pristine condition but all sound with that little distortion. I really enjoy it by the way, i think it is part of the magic of this masterpiece.
-Great dynamics and really good sound even if it is digital sourced but it lacks a little bit of treble (even the original album never sounded too brilliant or crystal clear). Perhaps only brighter on 70s copies but nothing really different.
-Bass is the most affected to me and yeah , it is really weak and muddy on this pressing.
John Paul Jones’s bass fan? You gonna be disappointed
Bonham fan? You gonna be really happy
Page fan? You gonna feel good
Plant fans? Yeah, great vocals
At the end i give this pressing 4/5 because of the great quality materials of the record and beautiful sleeves. Better than originals.
Conclusion:
Buy it if can’t afford the original. Solid pressing. -
Edited one year agopretty good mastering it lacks a little bit of treble compared to analogue copies and contains surface noise, but otherwise it’s really good

Only want to say Sir Page is probably the most authorized person to remaster a Zeppelin’s recordings. I like it, sorry!
-
Well ,, J.Page really cleaned this one up nicely !, sounds good to me ,, althought a tad on the bright/Trebly side, i pulled back my Trbl a touch and cranked it, it came alive ! More presence on the vocals, guitar, drums, not bad at all for a DMR remaster, sounds good on low VOL and LOUD VOL, beats my old poppy overplayed original 100x fold, nice straight german pressing, clean, no-issues with cover or sleeves, an awesome replacement worth it for me !!! Rock on gentelmens !! ;)

some songs sound distorted, i don't know if it's the pressing or the mastering, but it wasn't worth it... also not a lot of bass. i think this is the last fucking post-digital era vinyl i bought. enough with this crap.
-
This remaster sounds a little on the harsh side to my ears, but it is of a higher fidelity compared with older pressings I’ve heard.
-
I bought this on sale with 25% off the sticker price. A pretty solid release and a more gentle listen on the ears than its CD counterpoint, which I also own. This 2015 vinyl remaster has more dynamic range than the 1975 pressing that I own (https://www.discogs.sitioby.com/release/1303566-Led-Zeppelin-Physical-Graffiti). Drums and bass punch you in the face when they thunder in. The highs are a bit shrill but I believe that has more to do more with poor recording than poor mastering. This album wasn't well recorded to begin with. Some of these reviews saying that it doesn't sound good are nonsense. For the price I paid, I am happy. I may have been more dissapointed if I paid regular price, as I'd rather buy an audiophile record (any artist or genre) that can be had in the same price range.
