I obviously have tin ears or a faulty copy (or maybe both), but this reissue doesn't sound all that great. I've never heard an original copy, only the 2013 Beat Records CD and the sound of that CD is pretty much identical to this vinyl reissue but why did they have to master this one so effing LOUD? The entire album is mixed in mono (which is a bit weird in itself), so I reckon I could use a mono switch or something to cancel out most of the distortion. I own a few WRWTFWW releases and many of them sound excellent (i.e. (Dominique Guiot - L'Univers De La Mer). Unfortunately, this one does not. able, but could've been better.

Edited 10 years agoDoes anyone else have a press with both sides labelled "Lato A" (Side A)?
The tracks and etchings are correct . -
I also have to jump in and counter MillionDollars slam of this repress. Obviously, I can't tell if they have some sort of equipment issue or possibly a terribly faulty copy, but I've been able to do an A/B comparison of this remaster with a very clean copy of the 1980 release at a high-end stereo shop on a gorgeous system - and this reissue/remaster is absolutely remarkable. Resonate and rich, they absolutely nailed this. Do not hesitate to pick this up if you are lucky enough to find it. Superb reissue.

MillionDollars review is no good... change your stylus buddy.
This LP has a perfect sound.
This is what you want if you want to hear this unique music. -
Edited 10 years agoGot myself a copy of the WRWTFWW and it is NOT recommended. Really apprechiate the effort but the sound quality is really bad compared to the original. Sounds like it was mastered from mp3 or something. If you want to hear this weird and rare piece, you need this repress. If you want to listen to proper music with some real audio experience there is only one way to do it...
