I got what appears to be a recent reissue of this pressing, except it has no card, inside or mentioned on the sticker. Also my copy has the A side pressed fairly off center, the tone arm moves so much it looks like a 78 playing. Somehow the B side is fine and is pressed on center. If this IS a new reissue, it still has the typo on the cover. 👎

it says “CAHIN REACTION” on the front cover, but i don’t see that typo on older versions of the record. odd little typo i wonder how that happened.

The vinyl mastering on this one is superb. It's pretty much a perfect sounding record minus a few pops here and there. The separation of sounds are so evident that every instrument you hear is gets its own stage. Everything just sounds so bright, vibrant and living. You could picture yourself in the studio when they were recording this and visualize the movements of the players...sounds fading in and out of focus. Splash sounds so intense...a foundation rumbling jazzy psych trip out to auditory bliss even with the slightest sibilance for a couple of seconds. There are sufficient notes and photos on the back on the shiny, spacey album cover and both sides of the inner...no wasted space. Spoon and Mute did a great job with this reissue. If you could find this album at a reasonable price, I wouldn't hesitate. 4 - 4.5 star pressing in my book.

Just discovered that the digital which accompanies this edition is an appalling 192 MP3, and the zip of the archive even goes so far as to misspell the album title. Really piss poor work. We should expect better from Mute.
