Edited 7 years agoTrack 2 is like a remake of Bitter Loss or something (unless I'm hearing things) with the intro from Abnormally Deceased as a verse; and the rest of the songs are more Hardcore than Metal, but at least it was a big step forward compared to 1993 and the even worse years thereafter...
At the beginning of track 10 L-G is really singing "I look about 28" and not 27, not that it really matters besides the fact that it would've been linked to Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain and many others who were 27 when they ed away.
Track 12 is kinda enjoyable for the fact it is sounding like the ending of Metallica's Call of Ktulu mixed with a King Diamondesque organ sound. Just waited to hear someone say "Grandma"...
The same could be said for track 11 expecting the Metallica chant "Gimme fuel" from their own changed-logo-and-haircut rock 'n' roll/metal period, all in all they have done both better and worse albums.
Track 7, 9 & 10 are also OK with a surprisingly good track in track 10, almost when you had given up.
Uffe's songs are of course the Entombed sound, even though this is still the rock 'n' roll metal period. Alex didn't write anything for this album (for some reason). And Jörgen's (the bass player) efforts are Slayeresque but from the slower commercial period, like a Entombed/Slayer blend with a couple of KISS solos, which sums this album up.
