Centre labels: "B-Sides Remixes"

Notes taken from the record sleeve:
"In the more chart-oriented dance circuit, where underground music is not easely appriciated, the B-Sides were created to entrance mixing possibilities. They contain popular and stimulating rythms and samples that will surely contribute to a very original dance evening. The fact that these little bits and pieces are beginning to have their own function can only be a step forward in the making of more and better B-Sides.I have to give you a lot more musical pleasure in the future.See you on the dancefloor, Frank".

Butterfly has lovely intro riff but then falls a bit flat. Takes me back to listening to the 808 show on sunset fm

Frank De Wulf - what a legend he, is responsible for so many great tracks around this era.
Any old school fan I would recommend you checking out all his releases.
"The Tape" is the stand out track on this 12" and is an amazing track, its simplicity is its strength, repetitive synth riff intertwined with other synth and pad loops, topped off with the "You Make Me Feel" vocal. Amazing track that I never get board of & still love today.

All track here are pure jewels of Belgian techno-house, bearing the unmissable mark of master De Wulf (this heavy round sound and the sheer joy of clever use of samples, whether an isolated sound or a whole rhythm section).
Magic orchestra Remix is certainly the most well-known, but I must say that the Remix of Compression is A HELL of a track! Less pure than the original, the addition of a rhythm section from an old westbam (who certainly sampled it somewhere ;-) and of a nice string makes it not better, but as perfect in a different way. Definitely one of the heights of early 1991.
