Get rid of the inner sleeve ASAP if purchased/purchasing. Mine was a brand new copy bought in 2024 and the vinyl had a slight ghosting/haze from the inner sleeve. Fantastic sounding pressing as others have mentioned.

Edited 4 months agoBought brand new sealed from an independent seller for under 28 CAD. Stunning album, Cannonball's contribution is a must on this iconic Hard-Bop album. Amazing pressing. Almost perfect in every way, including the cheap price (it's a steal IMHO). A no brainer. 4.95 / 5

Great Record Happy with Purchase. Seller was slow getting it here.....but arrived in good condition'.,..

Agreeing with Miles Davis - Milestones. That one is just that little bit richer. But if you can't find a decent original, you can be quite happy with this one.

I have this as well as the current MOFI mono copy. This is clearly the winner and a steal at $25ish. I have 5 of these legacy mono versions and they all sound spectacular.

Sounds Great, I have several of these RTI Miles Davis Mono pressing from 2009-2019 from Prestige and Columbia and they all sound wonderful. I would say they sound almost as good as the current Blue Note Classic Series. I'm not sure if they have a digital step but it is done very well as is the mastering. The availability varies but I have found several for $20 or below new so that is a great deal.

Edited 2 years agoAs others have chimed in here this (as are the other two 2013 RSD Miles Mono's) sounds excellent. Yes, they do contain a digital step, but as is in the case of this LP, that digital step was soured from an original mono safety tape from the original sessions. That tape had not been played since 1958! It was brought out specially for the mastering of these RSD releases by Columbia's Mark Wilder. While not truly AAA no stops were pulled to make these amazing at least in of the mastering. Too bad they went that far to give us subpar jackets but hey, at 20 bucks (and still pretty available in 2023) I'm ok with that.

The sound of the cymbals screams AAA! It’s that tone or sound signature typical of a head of a reel to reel machine.
I don’t know… what do you guys think?
I think this is either AAA or sourced from digital transferred from an EQD master tape?

Great pressing indeed, very expansive sounding for a mono. Quiet and flat. Crappy RTI inner but nice sturdy sleeve. Certainly out sings the MOV version which are good but not quite as open as this one

Glad this was finally repressed. Milestones is probably my favorite jazz song of all time. My copy is silent and sounds great! Kevin Gray did his thing.
