The cover art is a rip off of Pierce from 1989 https://www.discogs.sitioby.com/master/1071190-Pierce-Pierce

Here’s hoping with this year being the albums 30th anniversary they repress it as a regular vinyl & not a picture disc. They’d be missing out if they didn’t do anything for the 30th

Excuse me if I'm blind or don't know a proper history of the album, but I don't see any US LP version dated year of release. Given that the album was a big hit it's strange that there's no entry in database... I don't think that by 1992 Capitol abandoned LPs in favor of CDs yet... [scratches head]

A reissue of the original mix of this album on regular black vinyl would be heavenly. Same with Youthanasia and the rest of the 90's catalog. Even Risk too.

Any idea when this would get a reissue (no, not a remaster) on regular black vinyl. It's been too long. Really need this on vinyl. Ogs are impossible to buy. Thanks.

The End of Megadeth's Classic Period
Honestly, I've never been a big fan of Megadeth. A lot of that boils down to Dave's vocals and the group's tendency (at least on the earlier albums) to spend too much time on long instrumental breaks and solos rather than putting together great songs. That said, I've always had a soft spot for this album and still like it today.
This is basically where Megadeth cut back on the thrashing speed and started to pay a lot more attention to song craft and melody. They ended up with something that's more like thrash metal influenced hard rock and for the most part it works. Where the album falters is that it starts to drag during the last quarter or so. There are also some annoying bits here and there, such as the verses on Sweating Bullets.
Overall, a very good album, and one that marks the end of Megadeth's classic era. Unfortunately, sometime in the early 2000s, Dave saw fit to butcher this album with horrible loudness war mastering and a complete remix. If you want to hear the album properly, you'll need to seek out an old version of the CD, which shouldn't be too hard considering it was a huge seller. -
My top 3 de canciones és:
3- Skin o' my teeth
2- Symphony of destruction
1- Sweating Bullets (obra maestra vocal)
