I seem to have bought this German edition, but the one I was sent has some songs prematurely faded. Say No Go, for example, is about 50 seconds shorter than it should be, and fades as soon as the vocal finishes. Caveat emptor!

Edited 10 months agoI have this. It is better than the UK pressings. I don't know about the US. It has a bit more clarity/punch and is a bit louder (but still on the quiet side). It sounded quite good actually! I'm happy with it and would only replace it with a US first pressing. There is only light background noise and the vinyl is not thin. The sleeve is glossy not textured. One thing I have noticed with this release is that there are parts which are quite loud e.g. the skits, the piano bit in Jenifa Taught Me, the French lesson bit. Compared to these the volume of the main songs does drop a tiny bit. If I correctly the UK pressing was the same.

German Pressing seems not the best quality, soundwise and vinylwise: Low and relatively dull soundvolume. In addition: I have 3 german copies, they are visually all looking Exc to NM but all have the same annoying silent background crackling. (BTW they were professionally cleaned before playing )

I compared this to a UK Adrenalin Press. Differences aren't massive but this pressing has a little more bass imo. Vocals do sound a pinch lower in quality as a trade off but it's not something that personally bothers me, and I like how this copy has slightly more punch.

This pressing sounds better than the US first pressing and slightly worse than the very desirable VMP 2xLP pressing. Best value of the 3 currently considering current prices.

Well, I think this album was recorded and mastered little bit lack of bass. Whether intentional or not, I think beside bass side this pressing sounds really good. You can hear and pick every vocal and samples in different depth.
DaanGrimbergen this is not an unofficial version as you can see. I think you're mistaking it with an other pressing. There is an unofficial german pressing, probably with it. -

Nothing wrong with mine. Sounds really good for a Unofficial Release !
dionysos73 I think you have to check your turntable or speakers ;-)
