Easily the best hot topic splatter I own and sounds pretty damn good I must say. The etch however is barely visible but that’s the only grievance. Bought this years ago for cost price so the prices now are mental. -
This is one of my favourite vinyls I own. Bought it off Ebay back in 2013. Crazy to see these prices explode. -

For a Hot Topic repress, this is a surprisingly good sounding vinyl! I'm not sure if it's from the actual mastering, since it sounds clear but looks louder than most vinyls I've analyzed (at least in wave format). Etching on side D is BARELY visible, big let down on that part. -
Listening to it right now, sounds soo sick. the bass drop in "obvious" almost made my head explode! One of the best sounding vinyls i ever heard.

My review is not on the album - but to air my criticisms on the making of this pressing itself.
A) The first grievance I have is on the inlay of the gatefold - does NOT bode well trying to fit 12 pages on 2 12"x12" spaces. It ends up with the lyrics on one side and the thank yous on the other. The problem is the eight pages (fixed in a 9x9 set with the smiley in the middle) end up being too small, making it hard to read the lyrics and notes on how they were recorded.
B) The etching on Side D is BARELY visible - only being seen in just the right light at the right angle. This could've been solved if the vinyl was thicker and the etching deeper.
C) It's 2014 - yes, this album is a re-issue, but would it have killed them to have a digital card included?
Other than that, it's a one of a kind item, very beautiful to look at. And of course, the album is great. 3/5
