The follow up to 90125 with the same band line up is a bit more dated because it's pretty sterile and cold sounding. The drums are big and almost like a drum machine. Jon Anderson's vocals are a little detached and everything is more style over substance.
The opening Rhythm Of Love is almost funny with its use of Beach Boys style harmonies, a bit bizarre for the time.
The album seems to lack bass too. You can hear it but can't really feel it. Trevor Rabin's guitar is inventive and mechanical. The title track itself could be any number of bands on a radio friendly unit shifter! A lot of fans say it's as good as 90125 but I'm not entirely convinced!
