This record was my first house 12" record to buy. My sister had the album and played it in her bedroom while getting ready for a night out, I was a little younger and could hear the music leakin into my room, I loved it! Hooked into house music from then on. Mark you were a genius and still are, Played the vinyl for the 1st time in years, oh the memories. Shortly after I started djing and blame S-Express, wouldnt change it for the world!

Another sample not listed here is the vocal sample "Overdrive" taken from Stacy Q's, "Two Of Hearts".

I'm still shocked at the hi-hat sampling... for years I thought that sound was anything BUT Aerosol Spray

Other sample: Alfredo De La Fe "Hot to trot" - Gene Roddenberry "The Star Trek dream" - Karen Finkey "Tales of taboo" - Laura Olsher "The martian monster" - Sam the sham "Oh that's good, no that's bad" -

Edited 19 years ago1988 saw the release of a series of highly successful sampladelic dance tracks including Bomb the Bass - "Beat Dis", Coldcut - "Doctorin' The House" and S-Express - "Theme from S-Express". All three of these tracks were produced by DJs hanging out at the Wag club in London.
This is my favourite track of the era, incorporating elements of disco, electronica, acid house and breakbeat. It hasn't dated, and the production still stands up today. The sheer complexity and quality of sounds layered into this track is unrivaled.
Beard stroking aside, this track oozes fun, excitement and sex. One to move the crowd!
