Truly a great deep house classic. Smashed it out the park on the floor. Along with other Breeder tracks.

For me, this is the greatest trance record ever made. Every single second is pure brilliance. It's a sonic firework display, full of hard, crackling sounds tuned directly to the frequency of your spinal column, lighting up every nervous fibre on the way down. The riff is still unique, unfolding steadily and becoming more and more euphoric until that brilliant rippling counter-point melody cascades in the opposite direction to the rest and triggers a sudden serotonin rush in your addled mind. And the kick drum. Good lord, the kick drum. Even in the 20 years that have followed, with production and mastering technology advancing the visceral force of even the most anodyne warm-up record, this kick drum still sounds absolutely pummelling on a good sound system. It's a trance record made like a techno record, every inch of it lean and muscular and perfectly spacious. Breeder would go on to make a string of classics, but for my money neither they - nor anyone else - would ever top this. And the B-side ain't half bad either.

A great track from back in the day and at a time when breeder could do nothing wrong, their material was hammered by Sasha & Digweed, sadly in 2016 this sounds dated and really would seem out of place in today's clubbing climates....shame ;(
