Giving it a spin now for the first time since buying it ages ago for a euro or two. Wow, pretty rough pressing. Down there with the worst -
I have this DMM and it's wonderful music, but the production engineers used to much compression for the LP, I think. That's what you are experiencing as a washed-out sound maybe? Yes, the music is very dynamic with a lot of high frequency information especially the cymbals, and there is not so much space in the record groove. Not sure if the CD sounds any better. I love DMM for their clarity, and the pressing I have is very clear. -
