The album The Lost Tracks of Anouk is after all no more than a snack. This is for the most part to numbers, the title gives it all, never before on cd. So we hear different versions of well-known hits as R U Kiddin' Me, Sacrifice and Don't. In addition there are three songs from the 2 Meter sessions, including a reggae version of nobody's Wife and the cover Live-I Alone (along with Sarah Bettens of K's Choice). Finally, there are also a few new songs, such as Last Time and Redemption, a surprising collaboration with rapper (and current love) The Anonymous of The Postmen for his Social Life project. However, this time the stage beast Anouk is at her best in the quiet numbers such as the Rory Block-Lovin' Whiskey cover with Eric Corton on guitar. Definite highlight of The Lost Tracks is the blues song Love, in which she plays the piano and sounds like the new Janis Joplin. On the bonus dvd contains ten video clips, which we know most of it, but the USA-version of nobody's Wife and the ' Forbidden Version ' of Sacrifice also give the dvd added value. All in all, this snack the many fans of Anouk delicious flavors.
