Track 2-1: "...never made it past the demo stage,,,,would have made a perfect Carnival Of Light single....this version here is the second of those demo versions from July '93".
Track 2-2: "...the earliest recording on this collection. Strictly not a Ride recording as it is a 4-track demo that Steve and Andy put together in Steve's bedroom back in the summer of '88".
Tracks 2-3, 2-7 and 2-8: "...recorded for Going Blank Again that were chopped off the final album tracklisting at the last minute under pressure from out American Head Of A&R Joe McEwan".
Track 2-4: "This is a more mellow version than it's tried-and-trusted counterpart...dub backing track version...for inclusion on Alan McGee from Creation and Steve Walters from EMI Publishing "persuaded us to record the song straight and hence this version never had a vocal added to it".
Track 2-5: "This is the first demo of the song that was finally released as "Sunshine / Nowhere To Run" some three years later on Carnival Of Light demo sessions that produced "Something's Burning".
Track 2-6: "...is a How Does It Feel To Feel?.
Track 2-9: "...was one of the band's earliest songs and featured on some of the eraliest 4-track demos, but under its original title of "Why?". This version was recorded during the first-ever proper studio session in April '89 at Union Studios in Oxford.
Track 2-10: ...Going Blank Again sessions at Black Barn Studios in '91.
Track 2-11: "During the same sessions [Black Barn Studios, '91]....messing around with a dub track....the original plan was to include all 8 minutes of it on Going Blank Again, but...decided to use just a section of it as part of the intro to the closing track, "OX4"...Here another part of the full version is included - the funky bit this time".
Track 2-12: "Recorded on 4-track as part of a demo session ...early in '89".
Track 2-13: "...one of the off-cuts from Tarantula ....was recorded and mixed...., but not used in the final tracklisting."
Track 2-14: "This version...was recorded when the song was still in its infancy...Recorded somewhere in London at the end of '89".
Track 2-15: "...working title of "New Order"...the track was a homage to the Macunians' Going Blank Again sessions.
