I’ve got this one, plus the mono pressing of Abbey Road as well. This record doesn’t sound terrible, I’d rather say that it have a sound of it’s own. But the sound quality (at least in my copy) takes a dive after The Long And Winding Road, when distortion floods everything. Interestingly enough, Ringo’s drums become much present in the mono fold-down, and I quite like that.

My record looks like a lit bonfire, with so much popping and noise that it has in it. But also, the beast is 53 years old, and still plays perfectly! If he were a person and could hear himself, he would do so at sunset, with a glass of whiskey in hand and a lit red filter. The cover is very beautiful, in that "sandwich" style of the BRs records of the 60s and 70s. The record weighs a lot, it seems even more than 180g, and it seems very thick, durable. The bad part comes here: Beatles records pressed in Brazil are not known for their wonderful sound. Quite the contrary, even. Discs with the wrong speed (this one is a bit sped up!), songs with abrupt cuts, etc. And this one is no different from that, the sound was transformed from stereo to mono, in a "fold-down" process, which resulted in an album that sounds very small. It's worth it for its historical value and aesthetics, but if your goal is to get a copy to listen to, avoid this one.
