Great mastering on this CD album. Veering between proto-ambient and dense and frenetic jazz fusion it has a spacious soundstage throughout. An often overlooked Davis LP, and the last truly groundbreaking studio album of his career before his self imposed exile until 1981, if you're a fan of Bitches Brew and On The Corner, this is pretty essential.

The last studio release before Miles retreated into retirement.

Worth it for "He Loved Him Madly" alone.
A long dirge recorded shortly after discovering Duke Ellington had ed. Truly a floor to ceiling song and a gentle heavily freaked out neurotic masterpiece.
"Calypso Frelimo" is a freak out with vamps taking aim at Debussy's Clair de Lune.
