After playing around with a 2023 re-press and 2008 one, I simply wasn't happy with the sound on either. This one though is absolutely stellar! Dynamic, huge and warm sounding. There is some inner groove distortion (mostly audible on "Five Magics" and to a lesser degree on "Rust in Peace... Polaris"), but this is in my opinion the absolute best version to experience this classic album.

Great sounding pressing. There is some inner groove distortion. One thing I like is that I can hear the bass very well in the mix. Awesome album as well. Peace of Rust is Megadeth's best albums. I have the 2008 re-release and this (1990) sounds much better. The 2008 pressing has a thicker more compressed sound. It does not sound bad at all but different. I prefer this to it.

Absolutely stellar sounding record! This is one of my go to demo metal records for many reasons. It’s warmer than most thrash albums, it’s very dynamic, everything comes through with great separation and space. The vocals are forward but not overpowering. It’s never harsh, even when you crank it to 11!

How does the sound on this one compare to the 1990 UK pressing?

There's a gentleman on here pushing copy for 4.5 K. Apparently when a band member dies price of record goes up. Roud it up to 10 grand mate. Greed is such a lovely thing....

I just picked up a mint condition copy of this Euro original copy (from a Euro collector).
Sound is amazing and 10x better than the Capitol Vault reissue that I was able to compare it to.
This may be one of the top 10 records in my collection !
