Edited 2 months agoLatin-soaked, proto big beat tribute to the 1970 Brazil football team that featured the great Pelé. Released to coincide with the 1990 FIFA World Cup, it was way ahead of its time with its combination of hip hop break-beats, heavy Latin bassline and madcap samples of football commentators and fans. This single version is arguably better than the 1994 album version, as it fits in a second melody towards the end that gives it more variety. Was widely used by the BBC to soundtrack their coverage of the 1994 World Cup, which was fittingly won by... Brazil! (7)
