Edited 7 months agoGreat remaster / reissue. The most recent Giles Martin mix sounds even better, though this pressing is cleaner, as it has been pressed at Optimal. The one Giles did is pressed at GZ - the worst pressing plant. -
Sounds absolutely wonderful. Compared to a UK solid state needledrop, this isn't of much lower quality. It's an extremely pleasant and easy listen yet with enough bite to serve tracks like Taxman and And Your Bird Can Sing well.
Some of the mixes are finnicky... Eleanor Rigby and Yellow Submarine are lacklustre, but some of the others are totally definitive, such as I'm Only Sleeping and Tomorrow Never Knows. Of the three Revolver mixes, none are perfect and I really struggle to pick a favourite. -

I just bought it new in a vinyl store, I agree with all the positive comments, sounds very good!

Excellent pressing quality. Detail is superb and the presentation is smooth, much better than the CD in either regard. Would need more forwardness, punch and sizzle to be a top contender, but this is a pleasant, more laid-back and evenly balanced sounding stereo reissue. -
Sounds good enough to me- but the reprinted cover the track titles are comparatively smaller and harder to read. Thought it was my aging eyes!

To be honest I love this album I really like this reissue it was the first album I had bought my only complaint is that side 2 sounds a bit blurry I don't know if it's because I had it a long time ago or it came out more or less

I keep seeing a 2012 with a slightly different label. Instead of the number pictured in this listing, it says “824171” in the label right below the right side of “parlaphone”. Any info on this version? Everything else about it looks like the 2012 release -
Everyone always gives crap to the Beatles remastered/remixed albums and I think the Beatles have a very dedicated fanbase, but this album s itself. It sounds fine, and I think that it is a perfectly acceptable pressing of this album. Also the cover art for Revolver is just one of the best album covers of all time, and it deserves its day in the sun.

Has anyone else come across a copy of 2012 reissue (of the 2009 masters) of the stereo version - BUT pressed up with Rubber Soul labels? I picked up a shrink wrapped copy in a store in Brighton UK in November 2022. Matrix/run outs: B926070 and 94638241713.
