There´s nothing in the centre but this is a quite okay vinyl. It sounds and feels like vinyl. The bass might be lacking some punch but I wonder if any version has it right.

Aside from the laminated, flip back jacket, and pretty red vinyl, I can’t sing many praises for this release. The stereo sound quality with its harsh panning and highs isn’t pleasant. A much better Japanese release came in 1982, via an all analogue mono cut. Aside from a good US Capitol stereo version of the album, my favorite listening of Rubber Soul comes from a quality mono issue (the Japanese mono followed by the 2014 “Beatles in Mono” edition).
