      Guys, guys! It’s black metal it’s supposed to sound like that, or you expect black metal fans back in the 90s to use 400+ e cartridges! Sounds perfect with a 60 / 70 e cartridge (that back in the day cost like 40)

        The best vinyl version of this I've found. The BOB reissues are just garbage and I don't really see point of getting the new Candlelight pressing.

          very different from future versions in my opinion. More murky and not so clear in the high ends. Sounds more like other norsk black metal bands. Its a good and a bad thing with emperor. Especially vast difference comparing with 2003 remastered CD.
          Many vinyls of this era sound weird since they were done 100 % digital.
