Like Disco Elements Vol 1 - this is a very well rounded, bang-for-the-buck EP. Classic era Deep House at its finest. Proper chords - pads - and drum syncopation. Sensory elements - as opposed to the more Disco elements on the other EP. Holds it own as well as anything in the early 90s - and timeless. A1 is worth the price of ission. "Taking me Over" is very good - think the deeper side of early Strictly Rhythm releases - but the rhythms are agressive (but not overbearing and chill in the mix) and have that jazz dance groove. Explain it has deep pads and some light vocals - then that Bleepy square-wave ish bassline kicks in. Something 4U rounds it out with an organ jazz-step deep house groove. All cuts are above and beyond some half-baked jams of the time. Top shelf execution and layout. - absolutely worth the current median price at around $25 - no filler - just killer. Seen records half this good go for twice as much. - RJ
