Could one of the reviewers here please tell us whether. a. This is the Lou Reed 2010 remix, or the original 1975 RCA mix? And b. Does side 4 end with a locked-groove?

Great to finally have MMM available on vinyl again. Not an easy listen by any means but if you're into any kind of experimental music you'll find it nowhere near as challenging as the critics & bloggers of the past half-century would have you believe it is. Let it wash over you and it becomes almost beautiful - ambient music that blends into the background by wearing you down.
This pressing sounds as good as any other I've heard and for everyone complaining about the cover, I personally don't mind it & was never a fan of the original artwork anyway. Do I think the more detailed embossing and silver vinyl of the US pressing are nicer? Sure, but I'm not about to pay double the price through international shipping & taxes for such small details. Buy it, enjoy it, and stop obsessing over whatever minor shortcomings this reissue might have. -
Ngl I'm not a fan of how they made the labels look like test pressings, it looks kinda tacky and the evident wear from whatever copy they used doesn't help matters.
Also, they made the embossed cover less detailed outside the US? Jesus, that's a bad show -
Is the US RSD variant actually different when it comes to the cover of the vinyl? How come that the rest of the world gets a less detailed cover

Edited one month agoIt's MMM. You either buy it or you don't. If you do, it's to terrorize your neighbors with awesome. Or, you want to know what it is like to listen to every radio station playing at once. Or, you need to give the voices in your head some competition. Maybe it's the sound that the universe makes at its own edges as it scrapes into the formless void. Like the screeching crush of a million armored devils clashing against the pearly gates. Whatever you think of this album, you are simultaneously both unfortunately correct and absolutely wrong about it.
It's the sound of incessant dying.
And it just so happens to resonate at the same frequencies as the tinnitus in my right ear.
I've heard worse. Like the sound of children at play.
